How does the first consultation work?

How long does a divorce typically take in Malaysia?
The timeline depends on whether both parties agree on the terms. An uncontested divorce can often be resolved in a few months, while contested matters may take longer. We will give you a realistic picture of the timeframe for your specific situation from the outset.
Will my children's welfare be the main consideration?
Yes, absolutely. In Malaysia, the courts give paramount consideration to the best interests of the child in all custody matters. Our approach reflects this — we look for arrangements that children can grow up in comfortably and that parents can sustain over time.
Do I need a prenuptial agreement?
Not everyone does, but many couples find that talking through a prenuptial or marital agreement helps set expectations clearly. It can also simplify matters considerably should circumstances change later. We can walk you through the options and help you decide if it makes sense for you.
How are your fees structured?
We believe fees should be transparent and discussed honestly before any work begins. Starting fees are RM 180 for divorce counsel, RM 625 for custody and maintenance matters, and RM 345 for prenuptial or marital agreements. The final cost depends on the complexity of your matter.

Yes. Everything shared with us is protected by legal professional privilege. We treat all personal information with the utmost discretion and do not disclose anything to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
